### Job summary

Join the Ward Services team within Medicines Management and Pharmacy Services at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, one of the largest acute trusts in England. Based at either St James's Hospital or Leeds General Infirmary, this patient-facing role offers the opportunity to work as part of a large multidisciplinary team, supporting the safe and effective use of medicines for inpatients across a wide range of specialties. You will play a key role in optimising medicines, supporting patient care, and ensuring smooth transitions throughout the patient journey. We are looking for motivated, professional and compassionate Pharmacy Technicians who are committed to delivering excellent patient care and who thrive in a collaborative team environment. Key attributes and experience include: Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician. Accredited Accuracy Checking qualification. Experience working within a hospital or primary care environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work independently. A commitment to medicines optimisation and supporting patients to use their medicines safely and effectively. Experience of supervising, training and supporting colleagues to develop their skills A professional, accountable approach with a commitment to delivering excellent patient care. Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a busy environment Enthusiasm for service improvement, team working and contributing to the continued development of pharmacy services. ### Experience

- Experience working within a hospital or in primary care environment.
- High level of good clinical/dispensing/manufacturing practice.

### Skills and Abilities

- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Able to form professional relationships with staff from the multidisciplinary teams trust wide.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently.

- Highly developed skills involving accuracy, dexterity, manipulation and a degree of speed in the preparation and dispensing/assembly of medicines against written prescriptions/requisitions.

### Qualifications and Training

- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
