### Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced committed and enthusiastic Registered Pharmacy Technician to join the Pharmacy Homecare Service team at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.

The successful applicant will support the implementation and ongoing management of new and expanding services whilst striving for excellence and maintaining the highest standards of care.

### Main duties of the job

To support and where applicable deputise for the Specialist Pharmacy Technician in Homecare.

Lead and manage on the CMM Homecare Module

Manage workloads and rotas for other members of the team

Work with Homecare providers and trust wide clinical teams to ensure patients receive their medicines in a safe and timely manner.

Work with other key members of the Homecare team to ensure the Homecare database is accurate and kept up to date.

Lead on internal Homecare audit projects.

### Job responsibilities

- Experience as an accuracy checker of dispensed medicines.
- Experience of supervising and the line management of staff.
- Planning and organising of workload and rotas.

- Experience of pharmacy homecare services.
- Good working knowledge of CMM
- Worked/Rotated around several areas of hospital pharmacy.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- BTEC Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Science and/or NVQ 3 Pharmacy Services.
- Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician

**Desirable**

- ILM Level 3 Award in leadership and management skills (or equivalent experience).

- Evidence of good literacy and numeracy skills
- Knowledge of pharmacy procedures
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace
- Awareness of pharmacy homecare and pharmacy procurement/stock control.
- Experience and understanding of following standard operating procedures and good practice guidelines, some of which may require a good degree of knowledge to ensure quality outcomes are achieved
- Awareness of own limitations.

**Desirable**

- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
