We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual with a keen eye for detail to contribute to our well-established and supportive Pharmacy team. Our busy and friendly department provides a vital service to wards and patients across Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, and Community Health settings. You will play an important role in delivering high-quality medicines management, supporting safe and effective patient care, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. ### Main duties of the job We are looking for a proactive and organised Pharmacy Technician with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and good IT competence. You will work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt within a busy service. Key responsibilities include: Dispensing inpatient, outpatient, clinical trial, and controlled drug prescriptions in line with standard operating procedures Using pharmacy systems to generate labels and manage stock issues, receipts, and transfers Supporting medicines management services, including medicines reconciliation, patient drug histories, and assessing suitability of patients own medicines Participating in the clozapine service Undertaking accuracy checking within a technician-led dispensary Supporting patient counselling and promoting medicines adherence Assisting wards with the Trusts ePrescribing system.
