The role sits within a growing research infrastructure supporting a wide range of studies, including those delivered through the North Wales Cancer Centre. As part of a specialist team, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering the technical aspects of clinical trials, working collaboratively with pharmacy, research, and clinical teams. This role offers the opportunity to develop advanced technical, leadership, and service development skills within a highly specialised and rewarding area of practice. ### Main duties of the job You will coordinate and deliver the technical aspects of the clinical trials pharmacy service, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with Good Clinical Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice, and local procedures. This will include supporting trial set-up, maintaining study documentation, managing ordering, storage, and stock control of IMPs, and ensuring accurate record keeping and drug accountability. You will liaise with multidisciplinary teams, sponsors, and research staff to facilitate the smooth running of clinical trials and resolve operational issues. Aseptic experience is essential for this role, as you will be required to work with aseptically prepared medicines and support the safe implementation, preparation, handling, and quality management of high-risk products, including those used within oncology trials. You will also contribute to staff training, development of standard operating procedures, and quality improvement activities. The role requires excellent attention to detail, leadership capability, and the ability to manage competing priorities within a dynamic and evolving service.
