We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Advanced Manufacturing Technician to join our Pharmacy Technical Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a specialist aseptic manufacturing unit, preparing life-changing medicines that directly support patient care across a range of clinical specialties. You will play a key role in the production of sterile pharmaceutical products while helping to maintain the highest standards of quality, safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. ### Main duties of the job As an Advanced Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation and supervision of the manufacture of a wide range of medicines, including: - Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) for adults and neonates - Cytotoxic chemotherapy - Monoclonal antibody therapies - CIVAS products - Radiopharmaceuticals - Clinical trial medicines Working within cleanroom environments and Grade A isolators, you will use advanced aseptic techniques to prepare medicines safely and accurately for individual patients and batch production. You will use your pre and in-process checking (PIPC) qualification to perform sessions of accuracy checking at appropriate stages of manufacture. The role also includes supervising and supporting staff, engaging with quality assurance activities, environmental monitoring, and helping to maintain compliance with GMP and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Deputising for the senior technician(s) where necessary may also be required. The successful applicant will be expected to: - Participate in weekend and bank holiday rotas. - Work flexibly across hospital sites where required. - Maintain continuing professional development. - Successfully complete the required pre-employment checks, including a satisfactory DBS clearance.
