### Job overview

This position provides an excellent opportunity for newly qualified pharmacists or more experienced colleagues seeking a new challenge or change of direction. We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Technical Services team within our Section 10 Pharmacy Aseptic Unit in Glan Clwyd Hospital.

Previous experience in hospital pharmacy or technical services is not essential; we are looking for candidates with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Full training, mentorship, and ongoing development opportunities will be provided.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

### Main duties of the job

You will support the safe preparation of chemotherapy, biopharmaceuticals, and other aseptic products. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to Radiopharmacy activities linked to the Nuclear Medicine Consolidation Programme for North Wales, offering exposure to a unique and growing specialist field.

Pharmacy Technical Services is currently undergoing significant transformational change, providing the opportunity to develop specialist skills and contribute to the modernisation of aseptic services across North Wales. This makes it an exciting time to join the team and help shape the future of aseptic and nuclear medicine support services.

This role offers a structured progression pathway, commencing at Band 6, with progression to Band 7 once the required competencies and experience have been achieved. Applicants with suitable previous Technical Services experience may be appointed directly at Band 7.

If you are motivated, detail‑focused, and keen to gain experience in a specialist technical environment, we would love to hear from you.
