We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Senior Perinatal Community Practitioner to join our Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team. Based primarily within the York and Selby locality, you will provide specialist assessment, intervention, and support for women and birthing people experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties during pregnancy and up to the baby's first year. As a senior team member, you will work closely with families, maternity services, primary care, and partner agencies to deliver person-centred care. You will also contribute to service development, promote best practice, and support colleagues in providing excellent care. Although mainly based in York and Selby, the role requires travel across the Trust footprint to support service delivery, attend meetings, training, and development opportunities. We are committed to staff development and offer access to specialist perinatal mental health training, leadership programmes, and ongoing professional development to support career progression. Applicants must have 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework at the point of application. ### Main duties of the job As a Senior Perinatal Community Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality specialist mental health care to women and birthing people experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties during the perinatal period. Must be achieved within agreed timescale. - 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework (at point of application) - Recognised sign-off mentor, clinical educator or equivalent.
