We are looking to recruit an experienced Midwife to provide a high level of visible leadership, management and clinical expertise in the community setting and maternity unit. East Cheshire NHS Trust provide maternity services to approximately 1500 women, pregnant people and families each year providing excellent quality care in line with the latest national and regional standards. We are looking for an adaptable individual who has excellent interpersonal skills, works well as part of a multi-disciplinary team and has the ability to work under pressure, whilst moving the service forward. Applicants should be able to demonstrate previous knowledge and experience in the provision of community midwifery care, leadership, service development and staff management skills. This role will include split clinical and management time. Hours per week: 37.5 hours Fixed Term for 12 months to cover maternity leave. To provide a high level of clinical expertise, leadership and management in the maternity department, and community as required. Be responsible for providing specialist support and care to pregnant women with more severe mental health problems, in partnership with their own midwife and the specialist perinatal mental health team. Work closely with women and their families to plan and coordinate their care based on their individual needs.
