### Main duties of the job

You will play a key role in delivering East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust's leadership, management and organisational development agenda, helping to develop leaders, strengthen organisational culture and support positive change across the Trust. Working with staff, managers and leaders at all levels, you will design, deliver and evaluate leadership development and organisational development initiatives. This includes facilitating workshops, supporting team development, delivering coaching and mentoring interventions, and working with services to address leadership, culture and organisational challenges. You will manage leadership development programmes, coordinate recruitment and selection processes, work with external providers and partners, support colleagues undertaking qualifications and apprenticeships, and help ensure a positive learner experience. You will provide support through coaching, supervision, mediation and facilitated development conversations, helping colleagues, teams and leaders overcome challenges and achieve goals. The role combines facilitation, consultancy, project management and stakeholder engagement. You will work with internal and external partners, contribute to the development of our leadership and culture offer, and help people, teams and services perform effectively.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The Organisational Development and Leadership Advisor will support the design, delivery and evaluation of organisational development, leadership and management development initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, improve organisational culture and support positive change across East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. The role forms part of the Leadership and Culture team and works collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust and wider healthcare system.

Key responsibilities include:

- Designing, facilitating and evaluating leadership, management and organisational development programmes, workshops and interventions.
- Supporting the delivery of the Trust's Leadership Pathway and wider leadership development offer.
- Managing leadership and workforce development programmes, including participant recruitment, selection, enrolment, communications and ongoing support throughout the learner journey.
- Working with colleagues undertaking leadership qualifications, apprenticeships and other accredited development programmes, providing advice, guidance and programme coordination.
- Providing organisational development consultancy and facilitation support to teams, managers and services to improve performance, effectiveness and engagement.
- Delivering and supporting coaching, mentoring, restorative and other development approaches to support individual, team and leadership development.
- Supporting mediation, facilitated conversations and relationship-building interventions that contribute to positive workplace cultures and effective team working.
- Designing and facilitating team development activities, leadership workshops, focus groups and staff engagement events.
- Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including education providers, development partners, facilitators and programme participants.
- Managing and coordinating projects and workstreams, ensuring milestones, deliverables and outcomes are achieved.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of digital learning resources, online learning platforms, leadership communications and programme information.
- Collecting, analysing and reporting data to evaluate programme effectiveness, demonstrate impact and support continuous improvement.
- Producing reports, presentations and briefing papers to support governance, leadership decision-making and organisational priorities.
- Contributing to equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives and supporting the development of an inclusive, compassionate and high-performing organisational culture.
- Acting as an ambassador for the Leadership and Culture team and role modelling the Trust values of Kindness, Inclusivity and Integrity.

The successful candidate will be a confident facilitator and relationship builder with excellent communication, organisational and project management skills. They will be comfortable working across multiple priorities, engaging a wide range of stakeholders and supporting organisational change through practical, evidence-based development approaches.

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

- Ability to facilitate and deliver content to a group, harnessing engagement whilst holding a safe space for all participants.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working in organisational development, leadership development, learning and development, workforce development, culture change or related people-focused services.
- Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating organisational development, leadership or management development programmes and interventions.
- Experience of working in partnership with stakeholders to identify needs, scope requirements and develop effective solutions.
- Experience of facilitating workshops, team development activities and learning events for a range of audiences.
- Experience of delivering presentations and recommendations to a range of audiences, including senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Experience of designing and delivering learning and development programmes using a range of learning methods.
- Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience of managing projects, programmes or workstreams and coordinating multiple competing priorities.
- Experience of collecting, analysing and presenting data to support evaluation, reporting and decision-making.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in Organisational Development, Learning and Development, Human Resources, Leadership Development or a related field.
- GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent qualification), or demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills relevant to the role.
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to organisational development, leadership development, learning and development, coaching, facilitation or change management.

**Desirable**

- Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in Organisational Development, Human Resources, Leadership, Coaching, Psychology or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification in Human Resources or Organisational Development (e.g. CIPD Level 5, CIPD Level 7 or equivalent).
- Qualification in coaching (e.g. ILM, EMCC, ICF or equivalent).
- Qualification in psychometric tools and/or accredited personality profiling instruments.
- Qualification or training in project management (e.g. PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile, APM or equivalent).
