### Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to the role of Patient Pathway Coordinator, located at Cedar House, within our St. Michael's Community Hospital site within the Speech & Language Therapy - School Age team. This role is offered part time with the appointed candidate to work 22.50x hours per week, with the rota to be agreed at interview.

The appointed candidate will provide a high-level administrative service to the team of nursing staff to ensure the best level of care can be provided to all patients and service users who come into contact with the team. Training will be provided as required, and this role is a perfect opportunity for candidates wishing to pursue a career in the NHS within Operations.

### Main duties of the job

- Opening referrals on RIO

- Maintaining a spreadsheet of referrals and waiting list

- Sending appointments

- Dealing with queries from patients, GPs and other professionals

- Booking clinic appointments

- Liaising with schools

- Printing, scanning and uploading

- Procurement

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous experience working within an administrative role. of Microsoft packages to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience dealing with the public in a workplace setting.
- Knowledge of NHS service provision including the pathway of care
- Knowledge of spreadsheet and data set maintenance and audit.
- Knowledge of key NHS systems including Careflow, DictateIT, CIP, DA Languages, and Envoy Messaging.
- Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection principles.
- Knowledge of health and safety Equality and diversity
- Experience of using a full range of IT/Patient administration systems

**Desirable**

- Prior experience of patient administration work in a healthcare setting.
- Previous experience working within an administrative role within an NHS setting.
