## Job Content

### Job overview

Applications are invited for the position of Appointments Coordinator within the Renal Directorate at Barts Health NHS Trust, supporting the recently established FIND Programme and based at the Royal London Hospital.

This role is ideally suited to candidates with substantial experience in appointment scheduling, patient pathway management, and the use of CRS. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with patients, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of a high-quality service.

Working closely with senior clinicians and administrative colleagues, the post holder will play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of patient pathways. Responsibilities will include the timely booking and management of appointments, maintain accurate patient records, processing clinic letters and correspondence, and supporting the efficient delivery of patient care.

### Main duties of the job

The FIND Programme is an innovative service design that transforms the way we are delivering specialist medical care in North East London (NEL). A tool has been developed to screen all results being processed by the Barts Health pathology laboratory, flagging patients against specific clinical indicators to identify those at risk of disease and allocate them into new pathways, aimed at optimising their treatment earlier in their clinical journey to improve outcomes and experience.

This postholder is responsible for the co-ordination of patient pathways for the Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) workstream of the FIND Programme, ensuring smooth administration from the point of patient identification across all pathways.

The role involves maintaining accurate patient records, managing referrals, communicating with patients and clinical teams, and supporting service performance.

The postholder acts as one of the main administrative contact for patients and clinicians across the programme.

The post holder will be required to work across the programme sites, including in the community.
