### Job summary

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Patient Flow Admissions Team Leader to lead and support our Patient Flow Admissions Team at Pinderfields Hospital.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a compassionate and approachable manner, and a positive, proactive attitude. Working alongside the Assistant Patient Service Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective day-to-day management of a 24/7 service, including maintaining safe staffing levels and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient flow processes.

This post is predominantly office hours, Monday to Friday. However, flexibility is essential, as you will be expected to adjust your working hours when required to support night or weekend staff, attend meetings, conduct appraisals, or respond to operational pressures.

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is essential. Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience of leading teams, managing performance, supporting staff development, and delivering excellent customer service. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the team, ensuring staff are supported to perform effectively and that service standards are consistently maintained.

Experience of rota management and workforce planning is desirable.

### Main duties of the job

- To manage and coordinate clerical staff within the administrative service and be responsible for the day to day management of staff. Be responsive and sensitive to the service needs whilst maintaining departmental targets and Trust expectations in line with the Departmental & Trust KPI's
- To establish and maintain good relationships with other departments/directorates and clinicians.
- Resolve issues/concerns with individual members of staff, which may be of a highly delicate, complex and personal nature and require expertise and understanding to handle, liaising with the HR team when necessary.
- To provide Trust Team briefings to staff to keep them informed of departmental and Trust news.
- Co-ordinating/managing staffs work load as per service requirement and escalating where necessary.
- To ensure that all staff are aware of and know where to find, access and follow all relevant Trust procedures and policies.
