### Job overview

As a Patient Experience Panel Member, you will use your lived experience as a patient or carer to help the Trust improve the quality, safety and experience of care.

Your role is to share perspectives, ask questions, and work in partnership with staff to shape services so they better meet the needs of people who use them.

Time Commitment

- Attend Quarterly Panel meetings (typically 2 hours)
- Read short papers or materials in advance where possible
- Optional involvement in additional activities by mutual agreement

Note: Your home location may form part of our criteria as we are seeking to have representation from as varied a geographical area as possible.

This expression of interest does not guarantee a place due to limited spaces we have available. We may pool your expression of interest for up to 6 months and reach out to you at a later date pending available spaces.

### Main duties of the job

- Share personal and collective experiences of using Trust services
- Provide insight into what works well and what could be improved
- Help the Trust understand the impact of changes on patients, carers and different communities
- Take part in discussions in a respectful, constructive and inclusive way
- Occasionally support specific short‑term projects or working groups (optional)
- Comment on and help shape: o Service improvement plans o Patient information and communications o Trust policies, pathways or environments (where relevant)
