### Job overview

This is a new and exciting role for the volunteer to support the clinical leadership team with a new peer-led patient council. They will support in engaging patients with providing feedback regarding their experience within the service and be a big part of developing and facilitating the patient council alongside the clinicians.

### Main duties of the job

The volunteer is required to work within the list of tasks identified as follows:

- Responding to enquiries in a polite manner and ensuring an appropriate response is initiated.
- Contacting patients about the patient council
- Supporting with scheduling talks/topics for patient council sessions
- Supporting with the logistics of organising the patient council.
- Capturing feedback from the meetings
- Printing and posting letters associated with this
- Photocopying
- Filing
- Confidential shredding
- Report any concerns to the Supervisor / Service Manager
- Ad-hoc administration duties required to support admin function

Collation of data and use of Microsoft packages

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

- Contacting patients to inform them of upcoming patient council
- Organising talks/topics for patient council sessions
- Writing minutes for the meeting.
- To be punctual and reliable
- Good listening skills with a warm, friendly and professional approach.
- To adhere to the dress code for the area in which they volunteer. To aid recognition by staff, patients, service users and visitors you must always wear your ID badge.
- Be able to work as a member of a team.

### Applicant requirements
