### Job overview

The postholder will provide a high-quality administrative and coordination service to support the effective running of the department. The role will involve managing information, supporting patient pathways, coordinating meetings and referrals, maintaining accurate records and ensuring that appropriate actions are followed up and escalated when required.

The postholder will work closely with clinical, administrative and management colleagues to support safe, timely and efficient service delivery.

### Main duties of the job

- Provide administrative and coordination support to the service.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic records, databases and tracking systems.
- Monitor outstanding actions and escalate delays or concerns to the appropriate team.
- Support the preparation and coordination of meetings, patient lists and related documentation.
- Manage referrals, correspondence, inboxes and general enquiries.
- Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative colleagues.
- Prioritise competing demands and complete work within required timescales.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Undertake additional administrative duties in line with service requirements.

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

### Education/ Qualifications

- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English or equivalent experience

**Desirable**

- Knowledge in use of the Integrated Computerised Hospital Information System (ICHIS).
