Pathology Support Worker Biochemistry

Permanent 37.5  hours per week.

The hours for this vacancy position are 37.5 hours over period of 5 days working 7.5hrs per day Between 9am-5pm / 12 midday - 8pm alternating weeks Monday - Friday   including being rota'd  Bank Holidays.

We are seeking applications from motivated, enthusiastic individuals to work as part of the Pathology Specimen Reception team. To provide an effective sample sorting, distribution preparation and data entry service to the Pathology Laboratory.

### Main duties of the job

The post involves:-

- Receipt and identification of biological samples from Hospital and GP patients.

- Barcode labelling and data entry of confidential information for Blood Sciences onto the Pathology computer system (Masterlab)..

- Sorting and distribution of biological samples.

- Loading and unloading of samples onto the automated blood science track system.
