### Job summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our growing team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work across both clinic-based and school provision settings, supporting children with a wide range of speech, language, communication, and interaction needs.

### Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism spectrum condition, developmental language disorder, speech sound difficulties, social communication needs, and other language and communication differences. The role offers a varied caseload and the opportunity to develop clinical skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.

## Person Specification

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- The successful candidate will hold a Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and be HCPC registered, or awaiting registration if newly qualified. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside a genuine passion for supporting children with speech, language and communication needs and helping them achieve positive outcomes.

**Desirable**

- Desirable experience would include knowledge of, or experience working with, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Makaton and Gestalt Language Processing (GLP), alongside an understanding of autism and Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the approaches and interventions used to support children with a range of communication and developmental needs.
