We have a primary school in Putney and a secondary school in Tooting. This is an exciting time to join as the school continues to expand to meet the needs of more pupils with complex communication, learning and sensory needs in the borough of Wandsworth. You will have clinical responsibility for the assessment and treatment planning of children referred to the service, including group interventions if appropriate, and will be expected to participate in the development and monitoring of services in conjunction with supervisor. Depending on level of experience, post holders may be expected to supervise and participate in training of support staff. ### Main duties of the job The Occupational Therapist’s role will be to provide assessment and therapy for children and young people and to work closely with the class team, parents and wider MDT. Pupils are aged 4-19 and the successful applicant may be required to work at either the primary or secondary school. The successful applicant will be flexible, demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritise a caseload, and show commitment to delivering occupation based outcomes and patient centred care. They will be comfortable working in as part of a multidisciplinary team. They will demonstrate commitment to learning and have experience in a clinical area relevant to the client group. You will be supported by senior occupational therapists and be part of a very friendly and supportive team of speech and language therapists, multi-therapy assistants and education staff on-site, as well as the Clinical Team Lead. You will work closely with other external health professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team including Educational Psychologists, CAMHS, social services and other agencies to meet the needs of the pupils who attend Paddock School. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities ***Please see the attached supporting document which contains more information about the role.
