This post involves working as part of the team within a busy Paediatric Community Epilepsy service. The successful candidate will work as part of a Multidisciplinary Team, and includes but is not limited to undertaking home visits in the Bradford area, assisting in outpatient clinics, delivering patient and staff education and training. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a defined caseload and will provide specialised nursing care, advice and education. They will need to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of childhood epilepsy. ### Main duties of the job The post holder will also be expected support families at diagnosis and throughout the child and families' journey, empowering them to be confident and competent with their condition. To come and join our team you will need to have a good knowledge and understanding of childhood epilepsy and an aptitude to learn quickly, be a RSCN / RN (Child) and hold a recognised teaching/mentoring qualification. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously, whilst reporting back to the Team leader; have a positive attitude and be keen to take on new challenges. You will need to possess excellent clinical and leadership skills, as well as clear and compassionate communication skills.
