Please note that a Band 5/6 development post will be considered for any candidates who do not meet all of the essential criteria

Your will provide high quality, patient-centred care to children and young people across community and inpatient settings. You will support children, young people and their families with a wide range of conditions including but not exclusive to allergies, nutritional support, home enteral feeding, obesity and gastrointestinal conditions. You will work independently, but also as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be expected to support the team lead in new developments, regular audits and development of outcome measures. We are also able to discuss and negotiate agile and flexible working utilising virtual working within acceptable limits to the service.

### Main duties of the job

- Independent management of a more and less complex clinical caseload across inpatient and community locations
- Undertake comprehensive assessment, treatment and discharge of patients using advanced clinical reasoning, knowledge of evidence based practice, investigative and analytical skills incorporating training and practical experience.
- Work within the wider MDT and take the lead as required
- provide support and clinical leadership to junior colleagues
- Provide specialist reports
- Identify, lead and support on audit and quality improvement projects within the service

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- - Post Graduate clinical experience of working with a broad range of patients across a variety of settings at post graduate level
- - Experience of working with at least one complex paediatric pathway e.g. enteral tube feeding with senior supervision and support
- - Clinical experience as Autonomous practitioner for management of less complex clinical paediatric clinical pathways e.g. CMA and weight management

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- - Degree/Diploma in and Dietetics
- HCPC current membership

**Desirable**

- Post graduate study in appropriate clinical areas e.g. MSc modules in paediatrics
- Membership of BDA

### Education and training

**Essential**

- - Experience of clinical education of students, assistants or other staff
