The Purpose of this role is to provide operational support for the care of children with Diabetes/Endocrine disease from diagnosis until transferring to adult care.

As the paediatric diabetes team coordinator, the post holder will provide vital administrative support through planning and coordinating all the relevant programs and ensuring the processes run smoothly and competently. This crucial position within the team requires excellent communication and administration skills, along with the ability to multitask and liaise efficiently and effectively with the multidisciplinary team and stakeholders. The post holder should have relevant administrative skills, knowledge and experience in data analytics and finance management systems.

The post holder’s will have a key responsibilities in coordinating data input to support the paediatric diabetes MDT to meet the requirements of the National Paediatric Diabetes  (NPDA) and Best Practice Tariff (BPT); managing the finance systems  for the procurement of diabetes technologies for patients in the service in collaboration with the MDT.

### Main duties of the job

To act as a senior point of contact to ensure all enquiries are effectively managed, and successfully resolved within a prompt timescale, ensuring all relevant personnel informed as necessary, and an appropriate record is maintained.

The post holder will liaise closely with senior clinical and non-clinical staff to assess the information and reporting requirements for the diabetes service both regionally and nationally. This specialist role demands communication with key stakeholders including informatics, and finance to provide complex data and satisfy the data/information needs of the Trust. Act as first-line support for all technology suppliers, finance and IT to resolve discrepancies and issues after processing the information collated and achieving a resolution.
