This post is a Band 8a but we invite less experienced applicants to apply with a view to starting on Band 7 and commit to a plan to develop into the 8a role. The MDT supports children and young people to manage their weight and wellbeing through individualised interventions delivered via one to one, group, face to face and virtual clinics depending on individual need.  The team enjoys the benefits of flexible working with a mixture of base, home and clinic settings across the health board. There are 0.4 wte additional hours within Child and Family Psychology and Therapies Service which may be available to make the post up to full time, subject to successful additional interview with the relevant service area ### Main duties of the job The Paediatric Psychologist post offers an exciting opportunity to join an established Children's weight management service working alongside existing psychology posts in the adult weight management team and within a supportive and innovate paediatric multidisciplinary team. We are looking for a clinician who is motivated and highly empathetic with experience of working with children and young people and their families.  You will provide psychological services to children and young people living with obesity and their families using appropriate therapeutic interventions both face to face and virtually.
