Are you an experienced paediatric physiotherapist with knowledge, skills and experience of working with children with orthopaedic and rheumatological conditions?

Our outpatient service provides specialist assessment and treatment for children and young people aged 0-18 years presenting with a wide range of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions. The caseload includes children with CTEV managed through the Ponseti method, DDH, gait abnormalities, normal developmental variants, common growth-related conditions, and rheumatological conditions.

You will become part of a dynamic, supportive multidisciplinary team, working alongside experienced Band 7 and Band 6 physiotherapists who are committed to delivering high-quality care and supporting professional development.

We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join our friendly and busy department. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialist paediatric orthopaedic skills while making a meaningful difference to the lives of children and their families.

This is a permanent part-time position.

### Main duties of the job

This post will hold a caseload of children and young people with paediatric specific orthopaedic and/or rheumatological conditions their families, carers across the age range from birth to 18 years old.

To provide a high standard of physiotherapy to paediatric patients with orthopaedic and/or rheumatological conditions.

To provide Specialist assessment, treatment and goal setting with orthopaedic and rheumatological paediatric patients and their families/carers

Some patients may have complex and or chronic presentations. To determine clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment as indicated.

To maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.

To develop highly specialist skills under the guidance of the senior staff.

To attend clinical level discussions/meetings related to your area of work as delegated by the Clinical team Lead.

To be based at Royal Cornwall Hospital – Treliske -although there may be some opportunity to cover outlying clinics
