Oral Health Improvement Practitioner (Dental Nurse)Buckinghamshire & Remote/Hybrid Working

Permanent, Part Time, 22.5 Hours

Hours: Part time, 22.5 hours, 3 days per week

Base: Buckinghamshire Area & Remote/Hybrid working

Salary: £28,392 - £31,157 per annum, pro-rata (Actual £17,035.20 - £18,694.20)

Are you a registered dental nurse looking for an opportunity to work in oral health? No oral health experience needed as full training will be provided.

### Main duties of the job

What are we looking for?

You will be a confident communicator and able to deliver "train the trainer" oral health sessions to schools and groups in the community across Buckinghamshire.

Experience of participation in health campaigns and the production of high-quality resources will demonstrate your creativity and imagination.You will liaise closely with external partners to deliver coordinated care and seek further opportunities to improve the oral health of our population.

Main duties include delivering a supervised toothbrushing programme to early years settings and schools, oral health promotion to vulnerable groups in the community along with formal and informal training for a variety of employees working in the community, including health professionals and peer educators.

You will understand the oral health needs of our local population, engaging positively with those most vulnerable to oral health inequalities and disadvantage.You will liaise closely with external partners to deliver coordinated care and seek further opportunities to improve the oral health of our population.

You will be a GDC registrant and have proficient IT skills, accuracy and promptness are important.

Ideally applicants will live within Buckinghamshire.

Car drivers with a full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle are essential.

Working patterns are flexible within the hours Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 6.00pm. Occasionally you will be required to work outside these hours.
