Our shifts are 7:30-18:00, 3 days a week with a short day of 7:30-15:30, but are happy to discuss other shift options, to fit around child care. We are an increasing service, offering a full and varied Ophthalmic Outpatient service. We have a variety of Nurse led clinics as well as offering Diagnostics and support to our Consultants, Fellows and Allied Professionals within the department. We are now able to grow that service, with additional Clinician, clinics and potentially more Nurse led clinics, and now some Community led services. We want you to love coming to work, feeling healthy, happy and valued, and as a hospital offer support for your mental well being in a variety of ways. ### Main duties of the job You will gain skills in the use of a variety of Diagnostic machines. Assist with both Clinician and Nurse led clinics. The successful candidate will be motivated and enthusiastic to learn. Instinctively meet the needs of patients and their families, offering comfort and reassurance. Run visual acuity and eye pressure checks. Complete post-operative checks . Assist with minor surgeries and specialist treatments. Run a wide variety of diagnostic tests, including OCT, Pentacam, Visual Fields. IOL.
