Working in partnership with the current Band 8a Operations lead and the Clinical and Professional Lead for Speech and Language, you will provide operational management and strategic support to the service in the roll out of Experts at Hand. The role will focus on service performance, workforce planning, transformation, and quality improvement, supporting teams to deliver excellent outcomes for children, young people and families. We are looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking leader with strong operational management skills, experience of service improvement, and a passion for supporting child-centred services. ### Main duties of the job The Experts at Hand health offer includes specialist Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) and Occupational Therapy (OT) provided through CFHD, alongside Educational Psychologists and Specialist Teachers provided through the local authority. This role will support the coordination of these services through advice, consultation, strategy modelling, training, and targeted interventions, delivered in partnership with clinical leads across the specialities. The local authority offer provides specialist teaching and educational psychology support. Health and local authority services work closely together to promote a whole-school approach and deliver support into schools, strengthening SEND provision for children, families, and educational communities. The post holder will require a strong understanding of SEND and education, alongside a commitment to collaborative working and enthusiasm for developing this new service in partnership with the local authority.
