Operational Trainers at Barchester provide induction and development training to circa 5 homes and/or hospitals across a specific region. As one of the initial points of contact between Barchester and a new member of staff, our Trainers should demonstrate passion for their role and the Barchester ethos. This varied position will provide the opportunity to witness the skilled progression of staff from their first day, throughout their Barchester career.

### Main duties of the job

The Operational Trainer at Barchester Healthcare provides induction and development training to around five homes or hospitals in a specific area. These trainers ensure that staff meet Barchester's objectives and training statistics through hands-on training and maintaining up-to-date training files. They are responsible for coordinating employee training calendars, observing workplace practices, and arranging necessary induction paperwork. Trainers also provide ongoing coaching and support for new staff. Additionally, they promote learning and development opportunities, work with Home Managers on personal development plans, and attend external meetings and conferences as needed.
