The South and Central West Manchester Directorate has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to apply for a permanent full-time position in the Community Care Group Senior Leadership Team as an Operational Manager,

The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality community based care across CMHT, Neighbourhood Teams and Recovery Pathways. You will also support and deliver on service developments in relation to the community transformation agenda.

The post holder will have responsibility for the provision of leadership and management for the delivery of efficient and effective community mental health services and will lead, develop, promote and evaluate a flexible service user focused service.

This position is currently full time and may require the post holder to travel to other sites within the directorate and other Trust locations as and when required. The post holder will also be expected to participate in the Bronze on site / on call rota. ### Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate extensive clinical knowledge and leadership skills, with a clear passion for working with service users and their families and carers, as well as other key stakeholders.

You will demonstrate experience of managing a team / service, the legislative frameworks we work within, have experience of dealing with complex HR issues and managing budgets. Being able to problem solve under pressure is essential, whilst supporting staff and service users.

Working closely with the MDT and senior leadership team will be an integral part of your role.

Ensuring services work within policies and procedures and supporting service improvement will be key aspects of the role.

- experience of working at a senior level within mental health
- Ability to work autonomously and organise, prioritise and monitor workload of self and teams
- Have ability and experience to supervise and lead staff by providing a supportive environment, which contains workload management, supervision, appraisals, development and training opportunities.
- Experience in setting quality standards and systems for the Service and establish ways of monitoring and evaluating the services.

**Desirable**

- relevant managerial / leadership qualification / experience or educated to Masters level
- project management
