The training materials have been developed by the central team, there is no requirement to develop the training package, however there may be a requirement to flex these sessions to meet audience need; a significant level of knowledge about Learning Disability and Autism is required to be able to respond to audience questions and demonstrate credibility. The Facilitating Trainer must have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Learning Disability and Autism in order to deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training programme and have the requisite teaching skills to deliver both Tier 1 and Tier 2 training packages.  The post holder will work with experts with lived experience and co-trainers who will be autistic people and people with a learning disability.  The trainer must have significant experience with working with people with Learning Disability and Autistic people and be able to offer pastoral and direct support during the training programme, particularly at times of stress, anxiety, meltdown or shutdown. ### Main duties of the job Take responsibility for the delivery of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training programme (Tier 1 and Tier 2).
