CFHD are looking to recruit 3, 0.6wte, Occupational Therapy Technicians (based in North, South and East localities)to provide specialist Occupational Therapy support within the Experts at Hand service through advice, consultation, modelling of strategies, training, and targeted intervention. The post-holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team and autonomously to support children and young people, families, and professionals by building capacity within early years, school and post-16 settings, delivering training, and offering time-limited direct interventions where indicated. We are an integrated children's community services and looking for enthusiastic individuals with some relevant experience to join us. ### Main duties of the job To follow up assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of delegated caseload and escalating changes to the registered therapist for children and young people with physical and sensory, communication and interaction and cognition and learning needs in a variety of settings To undertake clinical interventions utilising a variety of modes, including planning and leading group and individual therapy. To participate in ordering and issue of appropriate equipment as part of packages of prescribed care after achieving appropriate competencies Using strengths-based approach; ensure clinical effectiveness through the use of evidenced-based interventions, goal-based, collaborative practice and Routine Outcome Measures To support in the supervision of Trainees To promote and support participation of service users across the service Produce materials and make equipment as required Assist in the delivery of training ### About us At Children and Family Health Devon, we are dedicated to improving the physical and mental health of children and young people across Devon and Torbay.
