Priory Hospital SouthamptonSalary - £26,300Full-time - 37.5 hoursPriory Hospital Southampton has an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, with weekend cover on a rota basis. Priory Hospital Southampton, Marchwood, Southampton is a residential mental health service providing acute and eating disorder care for adult males and females. It is accessible by public transport, with a bus stop at the end of the access road and Totton railway station approximately 5 miles away, with Redbridge station around 7 miles away. Due to the service's location, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

### What you'll be doing

- Support the Occupational Therapist and wider MDT with assessments, care plans and the delivery of therapeutic activities and interventions.
- Encourage and support patients to take part in self-care, life skills, therapeutic and recreational groups, helping to build confidence, independence and a sense of purpose.
- Record and report patient progress and participation, contribute ideas to improve activities and help create engaging schedules that meet patients’ individual needs.
