As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services, ensuring that individual needs, goals and outcomes are identified and appropriately addressed. ### Job responsibilities

- To act as a positive role model for colleagues by demonstrating professional accountability, sound clinical judgement and appropriate decision-making, while recognising personal limitations and seeking senior guidance when required.
- To manage an allocated caseload effectively by organising daily activities, prioritising competing demands and reviewing client progress, ensuring treatment plans remain appropriate to changing needs and circumstances.
- To undertake appropriate clinical, functional and environmental assessments for clients with complex needs, using recognised assessment methods and specialist equipment to inform safe and effective clinical decisions.
- To support clients and carers through education, motivation and practical instruction, helping them develop confidence in managing daily activities, using prescribed equipment and maintaining their independence following treatment.
- To coordinate communication between clients, carers and relevant professionals, contributing to clinical discussions and providing appropriate occupational therapy guidance to support coordinated decision-making and continuity of care.
- To maintain accurate clinical documentation, including reports, correspondence and discharge records, while ensuring practice complies with professional standards, clinical governance requirements, health and safety procedures and relevant organisational policies.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
- Occupational Therapy degree or diploma with state registration.
- Minimum two years post-qualification Occupational Therapy experience.
- Experience in rehabilitation and managing a varied clinical caseload.
- Strong communication, clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to undertake home visits, moving and handling, and equipment fitting.
