With strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills, you’ll maintain accurate and comprehensive records of assessment and treatment in line with British Association of Occupational Therapy national standards and local policy. You’ll effectively examine and assess patients, identifying their problems and needs ensuring that medical, psychological, social, environmental and cultural factors are taken in to account. What’s more, with a flexible attitude and the ability to adapt working in different specialties & different environments, you’ll maintain a calm and professional approach to all duties participating in weekend rota. It goes without saying, as a naturally empathetic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you’ll build rapport & demonstrate compassion towards patients and carers, providing effective advice to individuals during difficult circumstances. Finally, as a problem solver, with well-developed concentration & analytical skills, you’ll utilise examination and assessment findings to competently plan and carry out realistic programs of treatment from a range of therapeutic options appropriate to each patient using evidence-based practice ### Main duties of the job To provide service to different clinical areas on a rotational basis working alongside MDT colleagues to assess, treat and discharge plan. To be responsible for own clinical caseload and support senior staff as required. To attend and participate in per group meetings and take responsibility for driving forward projects generated by these groups. Organise and attend appropriate meetings. To contribute to Service Developments with the team. Demonstrate effective and professional communication with all members of the MDT, patients, relatives and carers. Promote the role of the profession in the wider MDT. Support Rehabilitation Assistants and students as relevant to role.
