Our service aims to help adults to continue to live at home, where your role will be to assess and manage a caseload of patients on an inpatient ward. The caseload will provide an opportunity to experience a variety of complex needs located across East Berkshire. The ideal candidate will be a registered Occupational Therapist with an interest in the rehabilitation of older adults, have great organisational skills and enjoy working in a friendly team. This post offers the opportunity for a clear development pathway towards a senior clinical role subject to the successful attainment of development competencies. This role is well suited to an ambitious and motivated individual who wants to progress their career. ### Main duties of the job - The post will be part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team within an inpatient setting which will offer assessment and treatment for patients in the east of Berkshire. - To provide supervision guidance to band 3 and 4 support workers in the therapy team. To make recommendations to the wider MDT and to support with education of students. - To identify service developments, needs, contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of the service and have responsibility for defined projects. - To be responsible for a complex caseload using an interdisciplinary, patient focused rehabilitative approach with support from the senior therapists. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities The “must haves” for this role: - Degree in Occupational Therapy along with HCPC registration - A passion for working in a rehabilitation or intermediate care setting - Car driver & possess full driver’s license to be able to drive in the UK. - Ability to participate in a 6-day rota.
