Specialist skills Gynaecology are highly desirable. Applications are invited for this fixed term 10 programmed activities (PA) per week Locum Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist post to support Women’s Health Services across NHS Tayside. We are a dynamic and forward-thinking team and are keen to recruit a colleague who will work flexibly with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of Women’s Health services in NHS Tayside based in Ninewells Hospital Dundee, Perth Royal Infirmary & Arbroath Hospital. This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months to cover maternity leave. The expectation is that the successful candidate will provide support for Obstetrics & Gynaecology services across NHS Tayside. There will be opportunities for the successful candidate to further develop Special Interests that complement and meet the needs of the service in Tayside. The post holder will be required to provide planned gynaecology activity in outpatients, day surgery and elective theatres. There is a need to provide out of hours cover for unscheduled care in obstetrics & gynaecology. The provision of unscheduled care will include non-resident on call Consultant commitments for obstetrics & gynaecology in Ninewells Hospital with prospective cover and weekend cover.
