An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Nursing Support Worker to join the nursing team on Ward 4,  Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest.  Ward 4 is a 22-bedded ward with an 8-bedded surgical assessment unit caring for General Surgery patients. The ward strives to provide service users with a positive experience and support towards achieving optimised health.   As a Nursing support worker, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team within a positive and patient-centred environment, supporting individuals through health management whilst maintaining high standards in fundamentals of care.

Various full and part-time hours available.

There is an opportunity to learn new skills and gain further experience in caring for patients during admission while developing professionally within a positive and challenging environment. This role will require you to undertake delegated clinical observations and to communicate effectively.  The ward operates a variety of shift patterns to suit service requirements, including days/night rotation.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working within a relevant health or social care environment, providing direct patient care

**Desirable**

- Experience of working with patient groups relevant to area of practice.
- Experience of working within the NHS.

### Skills and Attributes

- Welsh Language (Level 1)

### Qualifications and Knowledge

**Essential**

- Level 3 qualification in a health care related subject Or Equivalent experience and can evidence work based competency demonstrating theoretical knowledge, and the ability to undertake clinical care duties relevant for the role which is gained through experience and worked based training/short courses.
- Knowledge of the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales and All Wales Delegation Guidelines (HEIW)
- Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures within a healthcare setting for example the principles of Safeguarding adults/children to keep patients within their care safe, and confidentiality for example General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
