### Job summary

An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for experienced Band 5 / Band 6 Registered Nurses to join the team on Sitwell.Sitwell Ward is a 14 bedded, busy elective/emergency surgical ward looking after patients from a wide range of specialities including general surgery, urology and maxillofacial. We have a friendly, well-established surgical team with whom we work with daily to provide high quality care to our patients. The post holder will work in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team in a supportive clinical environment. You need to have experience in prioritising your workload to include excellent staff management and first class patient care from admission through to timely and safe discharge planning.If you enjoy working in a fast paced environment and pride yourself on ensuring patients have the best experience/care then this is the job for you. The ideal candidate should have significant post registration experience ideally in a surgical environment, be motivated and enthusiastic, possess excellent communication skills, be a team player, wish to consolidate/develop their surgical skills as well as others skills and support the ward manager to manage the team effectively. They should be dedicated to sharing their skills and knowledge with new and junior staff. Essential qualities that the post holder needs to demonstrate will include professional leadership, ability to embrace and implement change and demonstrate a commitment to enhance patient experience. As a department, we are committed to provide high quality care within a demanding working environment by ensuring our nursing team are proactive and have the appropriate clinical skills to provide individualised patient care.
