The Division of Medicine and Emergency Care is delighted to offer an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and innovative Nurse Consultant in the Cardiac Arrhythmia Service . This newly created full-time role offers the chance to make a lasting impact on patient care, service development, and clinical excellence.

As our Nurse Consultant in the Cardiac Arrhythmia Service, you will be an expert autonomous practitioner, leading the strategic development of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Service. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future direction of the service, drive innovation, and work alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding care for patients across Mid Cheshire.

### Main duties of the job

As the Nurse Consultant in the Cardiac Arrhythmia Service, you will play a pivotal role in advancing specialist care across the Trust. You will act as an expert practitioner and professional resource for patients, carers, and multidisciplinary colleagues, championing evidence-based practice and delivering exceptional clinical outcomes.

Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will use your advanced clinical expertise to develop and implement innovative cardiac pathways aligned with national guidance, ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and personalised care.

- Lead the strategic development of the cardiac arrhythmia service.

- Expert knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias and management
- Advanced clinical assessment and decision making skills
- Enhanced communication skills
- Ability to develop effective clinical pathways and protocols
- Independent in DC Cardioversion

- Evidence of strategic development

### Experience

**Essential**

- Substantial post-registration experience in Cardiac Arrhythmias
- Competent in independent prescribing
- Experience in interpreting relevant diagnostic investigations
- Experience of leading service development/change
- Experience of education, supervision and mentorship
- Evidence of advanced practice across the four pillars

**Desirable**

- Experience contributing to regional/national specialist networks
- Peer-reviewed publications
- Research involvement
- Evidence of organising and delivering formal teaching programme

- Registered Nurse
- Educated to Masters level or equivalent
- Non-medical prescriber
- IRMER trained
- Evidence of advanced clinical practice
