## Job Content

### Job overview

We are looking to recruit a Nurse Associate to complement our existing Nursing Team. The role is based in Primary Care; applicants will have a knowledge of working within GP Practices and will have varying skills and qualification as detailed in the Job Description in order to fulfil the role.

Nurse Associates are a vital and growing part of the general practice team, working alongside GPs, Practice Nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. In this role you will support the assessment, planning, and delivery of care for our patients - running clinics, undertaking clinical observations, supporting long-term condition management, and being a reassuring, familiar face in the practice.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive, forward-thinking group of GP practices that genuinely values teamwork, development, and compassionate care.

Post will be based at Moorcroft Medical Centre and Moss Green Surgery.  Responding to the needs of our expanding group of Integrated practices, successful applicants will be required to provide regular rotation within our teams at Keele Practice and Holmcroft Surgery in Stafford. Therefore, the ability to drive and be adaptable to the demands of the service is a must.

### Main duties of the job

As a Nurse Associate in General Practice, you will play a key role in supporting the clinical team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-focused care. Your day-to-day work will include undertaking clinical observations and health assessments, provide wound care and basic clinical procedures, and supporting the management of long-term conditions in line with agreed care plans and protocols.

You will contribute to health promotion and prevention activities, offer advice and reassurance to patients, and help monitor and escalate concerns appropriately. Working closely with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, you will ensure accurate clinical documentation, support smooth patient flow, and help maintain high standards of care and patient experience.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Carry out specific delegated clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction and supervision of  a registered nurse or other registered care professionals dependent on setting.

To liaise with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and outside agencies in the implementation of patient care.

The ability to work without direct supervision, delivering care independently in line with the individual’s defined plan of care, within the parameters of practice of the Nursing Associate role, accessing clinical and care advice when needed .
