We are looking to grow our nursing workforce in Eden Ward, a Low Secure Unit for up to 13 women with forensic and complex trauma histories. This is interesting, at times challenging, but very rewarding work. At Brooklands Hospital our patients have asked for nurses who:  "will fight for them in MDT's to get the appropriate opportunities and support, that listen, that let them be involved in care planning and risk assessments, that have a good sense of humour and know what makes them happy. They would like nurses who are caring and talk to them and give them praise when they do well" ### Main duties of the job Work as a member of the multi professional team providing clinical care to patients as delegated by the Registered Nurse or registered health care professional. - Ensure a high standard of patient centred care; - Promote self-management of health needs and adopt a positive risk based care approach; - Complete relevant forms of care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse. - Nursing Associates can assist in the delivery of care to patients, with a combination of multiple chronic conditions, mental health issues, medication related problems and social vulnerability (defined as complex care). ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Demonstrate understanding of all elements of the nursing process and be able to assist the Registered Nurse in the on-going assessment, planning, management and evaluation of care.
