Mid and South Essex Foundation Trust (MSEFT) and Essex Partnership University Foundation Trust (EPUT) are embarking on the implementation of a UK first of type Unified Electronic Patient Record (UEPR) system that spans Acute, Mental Health and Community services.

The new system will be delivered through the Nova Programme, alongside our commercial partners for this significant transformative journey.    We have an exciting opportunity to join the Nova programme in the role of Data Quality Analyst and to be part of our mission and successful delivery of the Nova programme.

The successful Data Quality Assistant will be based at one of EPUT's site's, The Lodge in Wickford, Essex as well as remote/home working and you will be expected to work across EPUT's and MSEFT's sites as required.

The accuracy, timeliness, consistency and relevance of data and information are vitally important for the Trust, not only to secure the correct income levels but also inform decision-making regarding the future of clinical services and patient safety.  Data produced by the Trust informs secondary users within the NHS, Integrated Care System and other external bodies to produce statistics (such as standardised mortality rates) and monitor clinical outcomes and key quality indicators.

### Main duties of the job

As part of the Data Quality team, support the sustainable improvement in data quality across all patient based systems through the output of data quality audits and metrics.

The post holder will validate patient level data generated from data quality reports produced on a daily basis. Any data errors found should be resolved quickly and effectively. The data quality dashboards will be produced for and access by senior managers, operational staff and business support units.

The post holder will be required to obtain supplementary information in order to complete and correct data quality errors using other relevant Trust and National IT systems and/or the patient’s health records.

Identify data quality trends and assess common themes through regular use of data quality queries and reporting.  Highlighting significant data quality errors and risks to senior members of the team.

Support the Data Quality Analysts in the resolution of data quality issues by assisting with the testing of Standard Operating Procedure processes and departmental pathway flows.

Responsibility for the annual testing and maintenance of a suite of standard operating procedures.

## Person Specification

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Previous experience of working within an NHS environment
- Highly accurate keyboard skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Programme knowledge

**Desirable**

- Experience of using Summary Care Records

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- 5 GCSEs including English & Maths or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
