We are pleased to offer an excellent opportunity to join our friendly and forward‑thinking radiotherapy physics team at North Middlesex Hospital in North London. The role is as a Band 6 Treatment Planning Dosimetrist.

You will join a team of dosimetrists responsible for all complex radiotherapy treatment planning, comprising a high proportion of VMAT  and including SABR for both primary cancer and oligometastatic disease. We run on a Varian platform, with Eclipse TPS for planning and TrueBeam and Halcyon for treatment delivery.

The team includes 10 clinical scientists, 7 dosimetrists (including this post), and 6 engineering and technical staff, creating a collaborative and well-supported working environment.

Flexible working is supported across the Trust, with a hybrid model combining on-site and remote working.

### Main duties of the job

The post-holder is responsible for:

- Designing and producing patient-specific, radiotherapy treatment plans and dose calculations. Evaluating alternative treatment planning options and strategies in order to maximise the dose to the target volume whilst minimising the dose to critical patient organs.
- Providing specialist clinical and technical advice and support on radiotherapy treatment planning issues to consultants, specialist registrars, clinical scientists and radiographers.
- Developing new and existing treatment planning techniques in conjunction with the clinical scientists, planning radiographers and consultant medical staff.
- Performing regular quality assurance on the treatment planning systems.

### Education and Qualifications

- Honours degree in relevant discipline
- Relevant statutory registration through HCPC or RCT (or eligible)
