Do you have experience working in CAMHS?

We are seeking a full time Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join Oxford Health. The role of the NMP is to provide expert specialist practice and ensure the delivery of effective evidence based clinical practice.  You will lead the care of a complex case load of young people and provide an independent prescribing service for young people in line with Trust policy and supported through a Governance framework.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join the NDC (Neurodevelopmental Conditions) Service, where we have a reputation for being creative, innovative, forward thinking, dynamic and research-led.

The Oxford NDC CAMHS Service covers a diverse catchment area, that is both rural and urban. Our main office sits on the Slade site in Oxford, which is conveniently situated close to the A34 and M40.  Oxfordshire is a wonderful place to live, whether you are looking for outdoor adventures or taking advantage of all the history that Oxford City has to offer. Oxfordshire is perfectly situated 1 hour from Birmingham, 1 hour from London and only 1 hour from the coast.

The wellbeing of our Administrative and Clinical staff is top of our agenda; we have an active Wellbeing Team and regular opportunities for staff support.  We have a strong ethos of collaboration, shared reflection and team working.

### Main duties of the job

Some of the key duties will be to:

- Work with a dynamic and inspirational non medical prescribing team.
- Hold responsibility for a caseload of Children and young people, offering independent prescribing and medication monitoring .
- Supporting the development of the ADHD treatment offer in the team
- Attending supervision with the NMP team and medic team
- Provide expert specialist practice and ensure the delivery of treatment is evidence based.

### Skills

**Essential**

- Experience of assessment and management of self-harm/risk/crisis management/safeguarding

**Desirable**

- Therapeutic qualifications, e.g IAPT, CBT, DBT.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of and ability to undertake supervision and appraisal in the workplace.
- working in a Mental Health or learning disability service.
- Interest in children and young people, and in neurodevelopmental conditions

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- RMN/RNMH or RNLD. (RSCN with post registration psychosocial training or relevant experience in CAMHS
- Independent Non- Medical Prescribing qualification (v300).
- Evidence of continuous professional development

**Desirable**

- Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision.
