An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the developing Neuro-Developmental (ND) Service as an ND Administrator on a fixed-term contract. This key role supports the delivery of a responsive and evolving service for children, young people, and their families.

Working closely with the Operational Lead, you will provide high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the service, with opportunities to contribute to ongoing development and improvement.

You will act as a primary point of contact for families, responding to enquiries with professionalism, empathy, and sensitivity. This includes supporting individuals who may be distressed or anxious, ensuring all interactions are handled appropriately. The role also requires awareness of safeguarding responsibilities, including recognising and responding to child protection concerns.

You will maintain accurate records and data systems and support the coordination of service activity, while building effective working relationships across CAMHS, Family and Therapy Services, and wider Health Board teams.

We are seeking an organised, compassionate individual with strong administrative and communication skills, able to manage a varied workload and adapt within a developing service.

This is fixed term for until 31st March 2027 to cover the needs of the service

This post sits within the Neuro-Developmental (ND) Service and forms part of a developing and evolving service.

The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Team Manager and wider ND Service, including regular communication with families. You will require strong interpersonal skills to respond appropriately to a range of enquiries, including situations where callers may be distressed, anxious, or confused. The role also requires the ability to recognise and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, including child protection disclosures.

You will plan, organise, and complete administrative tasks efficiently, including data entry, report typing, and email correspondence. The post holder will also attend ND triage meetings, preparing and circulating agendas, papers, and minutes.

The role includes supporting and providing day-to-day guidance to administrative colleagues where required, as well as assisting with training and development. You may also be asked to provide cross-cover for other administrative roles during periods of absence.

You will exercise judgement when managing enquiries, including those that may be urgent, sensitive, or distressing, and liaise effectively with families and professionals when clinical staff are unavailable.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

### Education

**Essential**

- Good general education to GCSE level or comparable

**Desirable**

- IT Skills Training

### Experience

**Essential**

- Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems, the majority of which are non-routine, acquired through training and experience to Vocational Level 3 or equivalent

**Desirable**

- Experience of working in a healthcare setting

### Aptitude & Abilities

**Essential**

- Excellent IT skills including using word processing and spreadsheets

**Desirable**

- Welsh Patient Administration System (WPAS) trained
