This post forms part of a service currently subject to a service improvement and redesign programme. Service delivery models, roles and structures will be reviewed as part of the improvement process,  which may result in changes and a consultation process in line with the Trust’s Organisational Change Policy. The Trust is committed to supporting staff throughout this process and ensuring fair and transparent decision-making.

We are inviting applications from individuals with excellent organisation skills and the ability to work on your own or as a member of the wider admin team.  The successful candidate will be able to communicate with staff, servicer users, visitors and carers in a professional manner.  The successful candidate must be computer literate, able to use Microsoft office packages, be able to live type or willing to train and possess a good telephone manner.

## Person Specification

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Awareness of issues in the Mental Health Network.
- Knowledge of a range of administrative procedures and practice.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous experience as a Secretary/Administrator including diary management
- Previous experience of working in a fast moving, confidential, sensitive, pressurised deadline driven environment.

### Skills and Abilities

**Essential**

- Takes a pro-active approach to tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels using e-mail, telephone or face to face.
- Able to demonstrate skills in organising and prioritising of diaries and schedules.
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues with tact.
- Attention to detail and able to see tasks through to completion.

### Education/ Qualifications

**Essential**

- NVQ Level 3 in Customer Care or Business Administration – or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable commitment to continuous personal development.
