The Neonatal Nurse Team Leader will  provide clinical leadership and deliver safe, high-quality, family-centred care in line with Trust values.

The role involves coordinating the clinical area, supporting staff development, and promoting teamwork, compassion, and excellence.

The post holder will act as a role model, ensuring high standards of care and contributing to continuous improvement. The role includes long days, nights, weekends, and bank holiday working.

- Ability to assess, plan, evaluate nursing care
- Ability to work well in both a team and lead a team.
- Competent in the care management of sick infants
- Ability to manage own case load
- Ability to plan and prioritise work
- Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Ability to care for the sick newborn
- Understanding the importance of evidence based practice
- An understanding of the philosophies of current issues in neonatal nursing

### Qualifications/Training

**Essential**

- RN/RM/RSCN with neonatal intensive care experience Degree qualification
- Neonatal professional qualification
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Intravenous accreditation
- Achieved full KSF Outline for Band 5

**Desirable**

- Degree qualification
- Assessing and mentoring qualification
- NLS provider course
