The National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR), formerly known as TARN, has worked in partnership with NHS Trusts across England and Wales for over 20 years to improve trauma care and emergency healthcare systems. Through the collection and analysis of data from more than 250,000 injured patients, the registry provides a robust evidence base for clinical audit, service evaluation, and continuous improvement in trauma care. NMTR also produces regular comparative performance reports for participating hospitals, helping to drive improvements in patient outcomes.

You should be highly organised and detail-oriented in the ability to submit major trauma data to the NMTR.

You should possess excellent attention to detail, strong IT and data management skills, and the ability to work effectively to deadlines and performance targets while demonstrating our Trust values. Previous experience or knowledge of Emergency Departments, trauma services, or clinical data collection would be advantageous, although full training and support will be provided.
