Providing strategic and operational support and oversight to Southampton Children's Hospital and wider areas of the trust to ensure that safeguarding practice meets the needs of our patients and our population. You will lead on operational support, particularly in highly complex cases, providing advice, guidance and escalation where needed. You will lead the improvement and sustainability of safeguarding training across the organisation, understanding and responding to challenges faced by teams. You will represent the trust at a wide range of multi-agency forums, including safeguarding partnerships and statutory reviews. You will be registered with the NMC and have significant experience within the safeguarding children arena, including specialist training in this area.  You will be experienced in working with statutory and non-statutory reviews and embedding learning into practice to ensure future practice protects children and families. You will have a strong understanding of leadership in safeguarding and the role that this plays in promoting teamwork and safety in the workplace.
