We’re looking for a suitable candidate to become a  Band 4 Lab technician within our Foot and Ankle Biomechanics team.  This is a high quality, patient-centred and innovative service.

This role involves manufacturing insoles and orthotic devices prescribed by MSK Foot and ankle clinicians within the Biomechanics laboratory. The successful applicant will need to contribute to the delivery of high standards of health care to patients with MSK foot and ankle conditions. They will be required to manufacture orthotics for patients, evaluating the fit, problem solving adjustments and implementing them when within scope of practice.

Flexible hours are an option for this role.

### Communication

**Essential**

- - Able to communicate effectively using the English language in both verbal and written forms. To Staff and Patients

**Desirable**

- Good interpersonal skills

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Good general education i.e GCSEs or equivalent grade C or above in English and Maths
- Experience and education to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent job skills

**Desirable**

- - Experience of working in a healthcare environment
- Experience of working within the NHS

- - Demonstration of manual dexterity work
- - Ability to work independently
