### Job overview

An Excellent Opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 MRI Radiographer at Hull University Teaching Hospitals.

The department boasts 9 MRI scanners across the Hull and Castle Hill Hospital sites and HNY Mobile service, which provides aspiring Radiographers and experienced Radiographers alike, a unique platform to gain experience of all imaging modalities, across multiple MRI vendors. Encompassing from the most straightforward examination, to the most complicated, Perfusion and Spectroscopy examinations, and Cardiac studies.

The Hull site houses, a  1.5T Siemens Aera, a 3T GE750,  1.5T GE Artist, 1.5T Siemens Sola. A second 3T scanner is planned for the main hospital site for September 2026.

A 1.5T Siemens Sola and a 1.5T GE Artist  at Castle Hill Hospital.

2 Philips Ingenia mobile scanners serving the community with a second  Siemens Sola being installed into the New CDC facility in the centre of Hull in May 2026, bringing the total to 10 MRI scanners across the fleet.

### Main duties of the job

Humber Health Partnership provides an  wide range of  excellent care for the surrounding population.

Specialities include, Neurology, Oncology, Cardiology, Urology, Paediatric, Vascular, Breast services and Emergency Care.

The hospital is a major trauma centre, and boasts a brand new multi million pounds Emergency Care Department and Paediatric ED.

The department is rapidly growing, to support the increasing activity in the Hospital, and actively supports and encourages personal growth and CPD, at all levels.

We currently have Radiographers training to report, Band 5 Preceptors, and ARPs studying in the department.

We run an annual study day in which all levels of staff are encouraged to participate.

We promote a friendly professional environment where learning and growth is encouraged and a natural part of the daily routine.

Scanning across two sites and potential CDC and Mobiles  with on call responsibilities,  you will work  across all Specialities, be responsible for own workload and training peers and students. Opportunities can be tailored to suit your individual interests and skills.
